In certain countries (such as Canada, Australia & most European countries) manual osteopathic treatments are covered by most insurance providers. In Canada more than 90% of insurers cover osteopathic treatments. It is worth checking for your individuate private insurance company to check to see if Osteopathy treatment is included in your paramedical benefit plan.
Ultimately, it is up to the individual patient to determine if they are covered for any examinations or treatments our clinic provides as well as the amount in which they are covered. Any costs not covered under a benefit plan such as a co-pay, maxed insurance, or not included in your benefit package, must be paid in full by the patient.
Although we are not yet able to direct bill for osteopathic services to Canada Life, Manulife and Sunlife; we are registered with those insurance companies and you can be reimbursed once submitted.
